What is the next step now? Created a blog, website, and active communities. I would like to know the next step to assist in income etc.

Answer

Great Question!  It’s great to see that you have already completed several important tasks in the business set up process.

The next step is to begin at the first step!  Now you must be wondering what I mean by that, so let me explain.

There are many items that need to be in place to assure you will get a proper traffic stream, but for now I will only address a few of them.

The very first thing you need to do if you have not done so already is find a specific niche and target market.  Whatever product or service you are offering needs to be for a specific group of people or for a very specific purpose.

The very next thing you need to do to generate income to your business is keyword research.  Keywords must be strategically placed in your site.  This is the MOST important step in generating traffic after you have narrowed down a niche.  I cannot stress this enough.

You may want to sign up for the 30 Day Challenge, Ed Dale does an excellent job of explaining keyword research.  This challenge is free and will walk you through some foundational steps of SEO. If you are unfamiliar with the importance of keywords this will be helpful.

I would also suggest trying a program called Market Samurai, in my opinion it is the best keyword tool available, hands down.

Another suggestion for generating traffic to your site is to use Word Press for your blog and site.  It’s simple – Google loves Word Press.  If you are updating your content frequently on your Word Press site, placing keywords throughout your site, and continuing to stay active in niche communities, Google will begin sending traffic your way.
